hello, I have never used my janome aucfil AQ hoop. i was wondering if there is a way to use the hoop for embroiding regular embroidery designs, i love how easy it is to hoop with it (similiar to the magna hooops) but if i select the AQ hoop it wants stippling designs, has anyone our here worked with this?

or know why i wouldn't want to do that?
thank you

Hi undecided. I have the Janome 11000SE. As your machine recognises the hoop, load the design you want, go to edit page, change the hoop to the acufil, then press OK. A box will come up with selection of single hoop or the multi. Just press the single one (left hand one) Then as you go through the screens press OK and you will be taken to the design screen. Hope this helps. Lyn

Hi! I wanted to put the 2x2in hoop on my janome mc300e so I did an update have you checked if there is one on the janome site if not I would call my dealer and ask if they would do it for you it usually take about 1/2hr.. good luck

I don't have this one either - but I was wondering if you could go into your software on the computer and add that size hoop to your hoops. I've done this with my 5D programme when I wanted a bigger hoop and you can add it as an extra. I just had a look on Google at Marie Osmond (YouTube) sewing with the Acufil Quilt hoop and it looks like it may only be for stippling designs. I hope someone else who has one can come along and help you out. Love Chris

Could you state what model Janome you have, that might give us a little more idea how to help you.?

it does recognize the hoop, i just want to figure out a way to embroider a regular design in it, not stippling ;)

maybe you could put the stippling design as the first stitch out then the design of your choice on top of that then simply by pass that first thread color?

I use this hoop all the time ladies but I also have the MBX software so easily converts to using this hoop. I am sorry that I am not much help here. I also have the Janome Horizon 12000. & Janome 9900 & the 10,000 I love my Janome's lol

wow! you are a lucky girl! which version of mbx do you use? it is sooo expensive! would you try using a regular design (not stippling) from your machine and seeing what happens if you were to load it using the AQ hoop choice without the software? i don't mean to actually stitch it out, but as if you were going to? maybe you could let me know?

I have the AQ hoop for the Horizon 12000. It is a 220 X 220 hoop. I use it when my design is bigger than the 140 x 140 and I don't want to use the next size larger, 230 x 230. My dealer added the AQ hoop to my machine so it would recognize it. I don't know what model you have but hopefully I can help you with whatever else you need to know. Hugs..Carol

thank you soo much! i responded above, but so that you don't have to go looking for it, i have an 11000 SE. my machine does recognize it, I can go to edit hoop and pick the AQ but then it goes to wonky screens about fill area?

@Lorayle i wonder if she will see it?
it is a great hoop, but it may be too limited by the machine software to use it for other than stippling....i hope not though...

I wish someone could help you. I know nothing about it. Maybe bringing your post to the top will help
