Great job, Jerri! Your GD will be thrilled.
Hugs, Lidia
There is no other word for this but beautiful. It brings water to the eyes just thinking of the joy and love that will be exchanged when you get with your GD.
Thank you. I can't wait to give it to her. I have waited 18 years for this to happen...I decided when she was born that this is what I wanted to do for each of my Grands as their Graduation Gift from me.
This is gorgeous! If I understood you correctly your first quilt? I'd stop right here as I couldn't top this master piece. Hope she loves it to pieces. :-)
Thank you. It is my first quilt of this size and type. I have made lots of crib size baby quilts, but nothing this big. I made up the design myself of the quilt, and the bag. Had a little help with the labels.
Very special. I like the shadowbox styling. When will you give it to her?
Thank you, I really liked the shadowbox as well. Make it look like a picture frame.
I am not sure when I will give it to her. I am in Canada and she is in the States, only about 2 hrs away. I may go down on your Thanksgiving...time will tell.
It is perfect! I can see why you are pleased.
A beautiful memory quilt . A treasure for sure Well done Gerry :)
Its beautiful, thanks for sharing, love the colors!
Beautiful, just beautiful....I know one little girl, well young woman who will be ecstatic!
Beautiful!!! Both you and the quilter have done an amazing quilt!!! I know it will be cherished by your granddaughter.
beautiful treasure of memories! Wonderful job! Suzanne

How beautiful!! What type of photo transfer did you use (and what brand? June Tailor, TAP..?)
Thank you. I used the product called Printed Treasures.

Oh! Jerri, Karlie is going to be so proud of this, as you should be! You have done an excellent job and the binding will be the icing on the cake! Are you going to put the darker colour on as the binding? That would really make it stand out and also having the darker colour on the edge is good as it doesn't show the grime as much! Love Chris
P.S. So sorry to read that you have to relocate - have you somewhere in mind? Love Chris
Thank you Chris. I am putting the dark blue around as the binding. It will only be a small binding as the quilt is large enough. I wouldn't do this type of quilt with just big borders, but this is my first and my own idea. Lots of lessons learned.
I am hoping to find a place in the same area I am in now as everything I need is close by. Not driving anymore, so I need to be in an area that I can get to easily for things.
Hugs Jerri
It is just beautiful Jerri! A wonderful pc of history to cherish! I am sorry that you have to move this early! I pray that you find the perfect place to live!~hugs~
Thank you Loralye.
It will all work out in the end, it always does, just stressful time until you know what is happening down the road.
Hugs back.

Thank you. I have 2 other Grand's, one is in Gr 11 and the other in Gr 9, and then I may do one for each of my kids. Just won't be a memory one.
Hugs Jerri
Awesome, wonderful , our cute friend. Now whats next on the list???
Thanks Carolyn. I won't be doing much for the next few months as I found out yesterday, that I have to move. The owner of the place I am living in needs to move back in, so I have to find a new place, pack and move. Just not good timing. I knew it was coming, but thought it would be next Spring. Oh well, get it over and done with.
Hugs
