At the moment I can see any pictures, so I'll heve to come back later to see them.
I experimented a bit two years ago, but have not done any serious work on it since. I only used it to alter a background for an embroidery, mostly by punching from the back, using knitting wool, sometimes a bit un-twisted, or roving - that gives a subtler line of colour than working from the front. Problem is that the machine is in a cabinet, and out of sight in this case means out of use. Thanks for the reminder.
yep i have one and i love doing art work with it here are two i made the original pictures are not quite as dark as this. I have also made felted scarves and even an owl egg cup cosy. I made a pound hound from roving.
try placing a piece of cotton fabric that has a bold design on it on top of some denim and then simply go over the design with the embelisher, the design is transfered onto the denim. this is a great way to make a designer bag. Also try cutting out bits of felt and simply place them into position Claris Cliff designs are great for this purpose. With an embellisher you are only held back by your imagination,
create a picture and then embroider a design on top of it. The tree on the right hand side of the second picture was made on my embroidery machine
Both pictures are of a lake in autumn
These are fabulous - thank you for sharing. I will definitely try some of your suggestions.
This is a new machine for me. How about drapery on a Christmas green felt for a tree?
I don't have one of the embellishers but have seen the results. This new fabric you have created is beautiful. It looks like a sunset. I am sure you can use it as is, embroider on it, do couching or use it to add interest to a solid colored piece of fabric. It is very versatile. Youtube is certainly a good resource for ideas. You can also try the companies who make these machines for project ideas. I know Babylock has their own embellisher.
I've had a wander through YouTube, but I thought it might make for an interesting subject to talk about.
try some felt Sue. I do not have one , but have a look on youtube, as well.
Hugs Pam
Sue, one of my daughters bought one assisted by me but so far she didn't have time to try it out but I thinks you can do magic with it.
Though, no own experience so far.... we only tested at the store.
Good luck - Maria - but there are lots of tutorials on youtube and suggestions what to do
