das ist der Wahnsinn !!! Ich habe geglaubt das wäre eine echte Blume..bravo !!!
Hi patchwork4424, Thankyou for sharing, the poppy looks divine. Regards Lorraine McNeill of South Australia
You have done a brilliant job on the poppy, it has inspired me to try to make some too.. thanks Marian Sydney.
I've seen some of the felt and crocheted ones here in Newcastle and this one you've done is superb. The memorial in Melbourne next year will be fantastic with thousands of poppies filling Federation Square. Love Chris
I usually stitch items like this on Organza, Then there is no problem with them falling apart.
It's a very lovely one. I downloaded the information on the 5000 poppy and thought I'd crochet one to see how it looks. Won't be as nice as this.
Sure it will. There are so many ideas for making poppies and in the end it's the thought that counts. Good on you vickiannette!!!
This is awesome. Can you find lots of fabric in VERY similar colors, so they look like slight variations? I'm so impressed.
This is a machine embroidered flower. There are four larger petals and two center petals which I've sewn together and attached a button through which I inserted some florist wire so they can attach it to whatever .......
Wow, it looks real :)
At a distance but not so when you're closer. I am inspired to make a few more!!!
Nice job!!!
Thank you. I won't tell you how I first embroidered it one on vilene and it fell apart when I put it in water. I didn't understand polymesh is sort of like cutaway. Ha Ha Ha!!! You learn something everyday!!!
This is truly gorgeous, such a nice idea and honor for husbands uncle.
A great project. I'd like to see the thousands they've collected. Mine is but only one!!!
I have just bought this poppy plus another flower. Think though I have left it a little late for this year so might just have to crochet a few. Thank You for this Poppy. Hope someone else can use it as well.
