The Husqvarna has stitch time ( not stitch count) built in. Friend of mine did 500 hours in the first 10 months she had a Designer1 and traded it in after 4 years for a new one.TLC and yearly maintenance made it look like new, only "damage" was the lettering on the start/stop button had rubbed off completely. According to my maintenance guy I use mine more than most of his clients, although compaired to my friend it's not a lot. I do however do a lot of sewing and that does not add up as fast as embroidering - 2 minutes for a seam here and a couple of darts there against 15 minutes for a small embroidery.
I think they have stitch counts built in some where or is it hours? Maybe you are spending too much time on the computer and neglecting your baby. Kay
Brother has stitch count, Husqvarna hours (separate for sewing and embroidery modes).
Before I got an overlocker , I burnt out motors , belts broke & the foot had 2 copper pieces in it which burnt out regularly until my husband took it to work & they welded a new thick piece of copper over the burn holes ,problem solved. The machine was serviced by the Bernina dealer who sold it for me,for nearly the original purchase price &it was 20yrs old.According to him these machines were made to last ,much easier to fix than the new ones.Looks are deceiving , this machine still had all the original accessories etc.
Well Sue if the repair man deals with educational machines they look well used as they are.
I think he was having a bad vision day! I use mine at least six days a week. Some brands have a stitch counter inside, maybe he cheated and looked at that!
He was paying you a wonderful compliment as to the TLC you have given this little machine. It just shows you are a good master.
My machines if you look at them, they look great, but if you check the stitch count, oh my! And I am proud of them and all of their stitches. Keep enjoying your machine.
My local sewing machine guy (who I no longer will go to because he is a jerk) sarcasticly said "this machine shows a lot of use, you must use it professionally". I replied, "you golf every week, does that make you a pro golfer?"
Any machine of Carolyn's-Noah is a machine that gets lot of use.
It looks like it is not getting a lot of use because you take such good care of it. To really know how much use , you have to look at the stitch count and know what kind of stitching has been done on it. FSL would have a much higher stitch count than applique.
I played about to find my total stitch count a while ago and got a strange result. I haven't tried since.
I believe you can only see the stitch count since the last service -- not the total stitches. The way to see the total is a secret they do not share.
Makes it sound like it must be a good machine! You still have the Janome 11000?
I think not! Just shows how well you take care of your machine!!
Your machine must be clean and well cared for. Other machines that look old are left in the sun and never maintained. perhaps that is what he meant.
I did laugh out loud when I read your post...
