This is great. Sharing what the others have done. Maybe we could do
something similar-what are you working on and what is your next project.
Thanks olds/Maureen
Angel Hankie Holder by BettieDidIt ( Betty Foster). Sadly Betty is no longer with us, but since I did test stitching for her, I'm blessed with many of her designs.
Is that the Betty Foster who had a great pattern cutting method? The one I'm thinking of was a scientist who wanted to make her own clothes, but as she was rather large, she couldn't get patterns.
I have sewn so many of Design by Sick's Linen 3 - 004, as it is the most requested design brides want for their dresses and veils... maybe 300 total?
There are some great replies and I have fond it difficult to see who has sewn the most of one design.
Sanitizer Holder from MooseBStitchin - made dozens and dozens. Also made lots and lots of Yoriko's FSL Charms too (wonderful for zipper pulls).
By volume - a snowman fsl bookmark for daughter's work (over 100)
Just because he is so darn cute... the monkey peeking out of the leaves - both from Anita Goodesign
This is the design I made the most of because of my granddaughters request. I was soooooo happy once they were all done. It is one of Yorikos designs with the names added. I also made over 50 of Yorikos FSL design of Volleyballs to be given out.
I've had the thinking cap on, but I don't think one design is a clear leader, The contenders are my own CD recycler, Mops' bunny (which was in DBC) and various outlines I use to make ITH items from test stitchouts.
I had a rethink too. One of the first designs I digitised (and updated a couple of years ago) was to be stitched on towels that were sold in a museum-shop (I was on the board of the museum). I have stitched that design over 500 times and am rather sick of it, but this morning I was asked to do another 2 dozen..
After this I got up the nerve to try the CD recycler . I have to admit, that my finger was always very close to the the stop button and the thought of the needle hitting the CD...scary... Now I should have known better and had more faith in your digitizing. It worked beautifully.
This is hard to answer. IN RECENT MEMORY and I am only accountable here would be the monogram pockets as I did so many. Of course each was a custom job. Kay
A Santa just right for on towels (ahem! Carolyn, this means you).from Amazing Embroidery Designs. amazingembroiderydesigns-65042-2380
I'm pretty sure the most of any one design I have stitched is about 100 of Yoriko's Ladybug charms 0833-FSL Charm Lady bug. I was able to put several on one hoop and program it so I stitched all of each color at one time. I LOVE to give these to people, and now my daughter, who works in the oncology department at a hospital, loves to give them to her patients.
PS. I keep that design in my machine's memory, and whenever my machine isn't busy stitching other things, I start a new hoop of these FSL ladybugs! Don't want that machine to have too much down time - LOL
For me it is a toss up of two. For my grandson's wedding I did 150 FSL wedding bells from Ace Points and 150 FSL floral hearts from Embroidery Library.
I guess these little bears from SmithandSmith (DBC) would be the design I have sewn out the most. I have made lots over the last 2 or 3 years for Operation Christmas Shoe Boxes. I have now started making more ready for next years boxes. I sure hope the children love them as much as I do. Hugs Shirley
These are soooo neat! I have that design too, and I've never stitched it. Thanks for the ideas!
I never thought of putting a pencil in their arms instead of a candy cane!! Smart! I think I'll be making some for next year! My box for this year's already gone.
They were very well received when I dropped this years lot at the drop off point. these are used as fillers for boxes that are not quite full. I do love making them Hugs
this is a great question but I am afraid I can't answer it. My memory is not what is once was so I don't remember if I have sewn something out more then once lol. but I do like sewing fsl angels & I have made many over the years. They always cheer a person up when they receive a lovely fsl angel. So I would say that? ~hugs~
I would have to say it is a toss up between Deployment Ribbons for troops and a simple little teddy bear design I make and give away to new parents, babies and small children. I hope a lot more Cuties share some of their favorite designs and why they use(d) them so much.
I would have had to think a very long time if it were not for the 300+ nail file holders I did for a local cancer survivors group. The design was created by our own dragonflyer
I know for certain that I have not done another design that many times!
The thought of embroidering the same design 300+ leaves me thinking thank goodness it wasn't me doing the work
...and many, many, many thanks to you for your most generous gifts...as I do...my gift of the design is nothing compared to the love and dedication you showed in your gift to the many cancer survivors, friends and family who were the recipients...and for that, I cannot thank you enough...
My dear dragonflyer, I would never have been able to do it without your help and your willingness to adjust the design more than once to fit the nail files and my hoop. The ladies (and the men there too) were singing your praises. I am very blessed knowing you! Thank you!
I made 20 Sonia's Angel of the Manger for Christmas cards when she released it. Everyone loved the card that year.
This is the design that I mentioned to Sue. I have sewn it out in many different sizes on a variety of fabrics. It also looks great when sewn in variegated thread. It would make a great competition to count just how many hearts are within the heart. I now look forward to seeing what others come up with
I think the one I used most is the embossed oval (with or without the bow) when embroidering children's names on towels (and bibs made of guest towels). And I have lots and lots of those finger puppets we both digitised. And then there are the ITH zipper bags - oh dear, a difficult question!!
Actually, easy for me to figure out - it had to be this one when I made 25 of the same design for a friend at Valentine's day. This puppy didn't get old either - I thought he was cute from the first to the last!! I have made many many hair clippies also. Good question!!
