Dear Marian, how wonderful that you are teaching Bella the art of sewing at such an early age. Good on you and I'm pleased to see that you will also teach her brother. It's never too early to get the love of sewing instilled in our youth. Great job on the bags, please tell her from me I am very impressed. Love Chris
I will thank you Chris, I'm a firm believer in girls and boys learning to cook, sew, and when old enough to mow the lawns you just never know when your going to need the skills..
What a terrific project and gift, Marian.......shows a lot of thought went into the gift!
Good work, your GD can be proud, both bags are very nice.
A wonderful project for your granddaughter & they have turned out splendidly! A mug rug or coaster might be just the ticket for your grandson. Either way I'm sure you will come up with something fun! ~hugs~
I'm hoping he'll pick something like this, but just when you have him figured out he changes direction but either way he'll have fun..
Terrific idea ! I love the getting to share gift making from the heart. You both did a super job.
Great job, Miss Bella. These will be extra special for your teacher as you are thanking her, giving her a compliment and the fact that you took the time to learn a new skill to make her gift! Excellent. You can be very pleased with yourself. Grammie your are tops!
Wow, this is a great project! She's doing a lovely job :)
Those are great gifts for the teacher. It is nice she loves to come over a sew with you.
excellent job you two are doing your a good Grammie hugs
She is doing great! These are good ideas for us to make for our g-kids teachers, however they have more than 1 teacher, so mug rugs would have to do- I like how the black looks like a chalk board.I like your apple stitching, around the band, on the green. I can't see it too well in the photo of the black bag. I have the apple design, so I may try to copy you. Don't they say imitation is the best form of flattery? Thank you Bella! ..What age are you?
It's the angle hubby took the photo on the apple is the same as on the rug.. Bella is 9. I would love you copy me.. thanks for stopping by..
Wonderful project while teaching your granddaughter a very useful skill! I can imagine how proud Bella is of her work and how great she will feel presenting the lovely bags and mug rugs to her teachers! Great job, Bella!
