I've been playing with the new Janome 15000 machine in my local dealers. Janome only train them in decorative embroidery so they asked me to show them some ITH designs. (They had no idea how you could put a zip in!) This purse and stocking were made in the enormous 230mm x 300mm hoop.

Lovely job. Could this be the same Seweezy shop at Gainsborough?

A shame the companies don't train their people in all aspects of a machine only parts here and there.. Glad you were able to teach them something, now they might push to be taught more.. Love the projects..

Kudos to you Sue, hope they let you come play often! I would love to work in a store like that where you can demonstrate all the new things. Fun job! However none within 70 miles. lol! I'm almost ready to retire anyway. Cute projects!

that is a very large hoop. I have the Grand-hoop for my Pfaff, but it really is just 2 smaller hoops, together, ie side A and side B. And I can't get it to work anyway [my machine is second-hand so maybe it is damaged] Well done with the projects above, a learning curve for the staff of the shop!

I would drool over a new Janome 15000, lucky you, I would love to test one out :)

Martine is so right, Sue, the dealers can be quite uneducated in the machines they sell..........honestly I have learned more on the Cute site than I ever could have at the dealer!! Your projects are terrific......

Isn't it amazing what some dealers don't know. I once came at my (now former) dealer and she was complaining something was wrong with the machine as it showed the colours but did not stop to change colours. Noticed she had pushed the stop/don't stop button. Called the technician to tell him and he only laughed.

Oooh, like my Janome MC11000SE, but my biggest hoop is 8x8, hope you get a discount if you buy the new one. It is great to work with a bigger hoop.

Well they couldn't ask for a better person to do the job. Enjoy and have fun when you go back.
