Very pretty skirt! It is very dressy. Your sewing and embroidery skills amaze me!
Darling! You did a great job with the designs placements! I'm sure your granddaughter loves the swirly skirt! My daughter is 19 and when she wears a skirt, she likes one that moves!
Thank you. She likes everything I've made her so far, sewn, knitted and crocheted, but the skirt might be her favourite for some time.
These are so beautiful Martine and you are such a great digitiser the girls will love them. Love Chris
Delightful. its interesting to hear how you worked out where to have the embroidery. Lucky grand daughters to have you to make such super outfit for them
I think she wel love it ! Like all the things grandma makes. Her friends will be .....
thanks mom
Fabulous as always Martine. Your work is always impecable/Lillian
From what you said in the original post you will be doing these for a couple of more times with such wonderful young ladies clamoring for the dress. This is as beautiful as the original, lovely colors and designs go well.
Thank you. I am afraid you are right, next one is cut, embroidery starts tomorrow.
All of the pieces are so perfect, it's a beautiful outfit.
The design is perfect - what lucky Grands you have!!
Thanks - it's great fun to make the designs. Once I got going I made quite a few that can be used on other projects as well.
That is beautiful. Love the colour and the design is perfect for it.
Wow! You have done the amazing again! The dress is perfect!
I love that your country and the traditional dress worn at the time was shown in the movie. It is so nice that your grands can show pride in your history and wear a beautiful costume, created by someone they love, that shows it.
Not my country, I live in the Netherlands but my daughter lives in Norway. And Norwegians are proud of their regional dresses, you should see them at May 17th - everyone wears the costume of the region they come from. I've made lots of pictures during the last 5 years, a great inspiration for embroidery designs!
How beautiful, Martine and you are so perfect when it comes to placement........fantastic project!
That is so lovely! Your placement is perfection. It falls just right on the folds.
Thanks. I folded the pattern pieces in half and then in four to get my working areas, but to the very critical eye some dance up a couple of mm's. But so does my granddaughter :)
Brilliant of you to work that out. No very critical eyes here and I'll bet she will be dancing up a couple of mm's! LOL
Beautiful design and the colours you have chosen are perfect on the blue skirt. Your granddaughter will be thrilled!
