It's almost that time of year for Ice Fishing, I make hats for members on fishing forums. I place their name on the back of the hats. The hats lined , which makes them very warm. Thanks for looking!

Here is the link for the hat (fleece beanie), it looks nothing like the finished product. I played around with the length and the band to get what I wanted.

Thank you for posting the link! I have downloaded the pattern (and a couple of others, too) and watched her tutorials. I am ready and headed for the fabric store!

Lovely, at first I thought that you had embroidered on bought hats then read more carefully. Excellent work. Do you put the embroidery on before you cut out the hat or after?

All the embroidery is done before I sew the hat.

Super nice hats! Are they made of fleece? What pattern did you use? I would like to make my husband a few of these. Thanks for sharing!

Yes they are fleece and I really don't know where I got the pattern , it was free on some web site Since my DH is the ice fisherman he told me what he wanted , length of the cap and how the band was to fit so it would give lots of coverage over the ears. It took a few samples to get it right but the finished results were worth it.

Ah, too bad that you don't remember the site with the original pattern. However, are you able to pass on your pattern? I have been looking online since I read your post. My husband likes caps long so that they cover his ears. Most store bought caps do not.
