I love both of these! I may have to get the design as well! Beautiful job....on both!
The difference between the designs is that the second one has nearly 5,000 stitches omitted from the 3rd block but it isn't noticeable because of over stitching of another block as well as all the spots. This design has just under 45,000 sts & was very hard on the towel. There are 4 layers of stitching.in the first one.
Both of these are stunning but the but the left back foot is different.. I loved this design do much I got it also.... I will put it on my granddaughters towel with her name..
Eine sehr hübsche Giraffe in Regenbogenfarben - einfach cute :-))
Wonder if a variegated thread would work?
My experience with variegated thread ,it that stripes of colour are created in satin stitch fill which is sewn vertically or horizontally.
I can't tell whether the main differences I see are because of the photography or the density of the towels. The top towel appears to have a looser weave than the bottom or perhaps the bottom design is larger and you could not zoom in as close.
I guess we are all different as I prefer the bottom giraffe, though they both are lovely.
Nice work!
I like your towels stitched, better than I liked the design when I saw it. You see, sometimes you don't know till you stitch it. I think they are both equally cute, and it wouldn't have mattered if the colors weren't exactly like they call for. I feel like when we embroider we are just coloring, like we did when we were kids. The teacher gave the color sheet and you remember how, even tho we all got the same sheet, they were all individually different. Good job!
Colourful and very nice.....love the design and the colours used.
I love them both. What a great fresh way to see the colors of a giraffe.
The difference that I see is on the second one. Missing The color under the eye and the green under his legs. Would not notice if both were not there to compare.
That is my fault .I used the fix stitch instead of trying to hoop the stabilizer & the towel together. The stitching seemed to stretch to towel at the bottom of the design.
I like the watercolor effect of the second one....well done.
The colors in the first photo seem more intense!! I too love this design!!
Lovely!
The photos were taken inside without a flash on different days ,so this might be the reason
Beautiful - there seems to be more depth in the top one. I love the colours you have used.
I saw the designs yesterday on her site and fell in love with them too! They look really nice on your towels!
I love the colours you have chosen for both the towels. That's the fun of embroidery, changing things up a bit to make it your own. Such a cute design!
Usually I treat it as colouring in,but the original colours were so beautiful that I wanted something the same
I also fell in love with the design, love the way you've stitched it out.. my youngest gs is getting giraffes on his things this Christmas..
This is for a baby girl who was due on 13 Nov but hasn't popped out yet.Her grandmother told her ,she had to wait until she got back from Cambodia today.Looks like she is going to be obedient unless she is going to take her aunts thunder away on the 22nd (aunts wedding day)
I love this so much I also bought this design...what size did you stitch out here...did you use different thread on each one. the top one sure looks a thicker thread and stands out more...well done to your work.
I used the 5x7 size. The pink colours are different in each towel but the blues are the same,a mauve & a yellow were changed.Until you have stitched all the spot colours out ,it is hard to visualize how they come together because some are stitched over each other. The colours are a mixture af different brands, some are rayon ,others are polyester.
Very cute and I see difference top one stands out little more.
