I love sewingmachine.com, fairly local to me, so no experience with their shipping. Excellent prices, $7 for big cones of thread in several brands and lots of inexpensive stabilisers by the cut pieces or on big rolls. Their best prices are on the big rolls and I'm pleased with the quality.

Buying from the States is expensive as there is the cost of postage and often import duty to pay too

This is where I buy mine. Watch for sales. No shipping charges for USA.
I usually buy my washaway stabilizer in the 12 in 50 yds roll.

Unfortunately the cost of post to the UK makes them expensive

I also buy from BSK - but I always use tear away for ITH.

Thanks Sue, I always thought you used water soluble for in the hoop, but I have so much trouble stitching the first colour on it, Jean xx

Right Jean where do I buy stabiliser from? A variety of sources which I have used in the past apart from the shop I bought my machines from.
Ebay is a great source and I have bought from BSK Ltd this is where I usually get 100 needles at a time. I have also got the 100m rolls from Lords. I do have to say that ebay is the first place I look for when after replacing stocks for embroidery.
