I have never seen this before , what a great idea for that little someone. Well done!
These are beautiful - and very clever! Lucky Great Granddaughter!!!
Oh Lillian how adorable and practical. The little pray dolls made with
handerchief would work also. I'm going to try to get pattern for my
friend who crochets beautifully. I don't crochet. Perfect for little hands in church. Maureen
Adorable for a little girl. Beautiful work Lillian
http://emmalinebags.blogspot.com.... is a fabric one with insructions here, I have never seen one before...wendy
Went to the link & I am intrigued. Will have to try this but will be after Christmas. The thing is, I bet I can crochet it faster than cutting out and sewing it. LOL. thank you Wendy for the link, I have never been there before/Lillian
They are so cute...my daughter had one something like it when she was young.
Lillian, these are so special. I know the girls will be thrilled.
Miss Lillian, these are so adorable! I'd like one also. Leaha
Well done they look great. I have seen the pattern but been afraid to try it.
Oh so cute! Looks hard to make. Great job, hugs Suzanna
This is just darling! I have never seen anything like it. Was it hard to make? It looks like crochet but where ever did you find the wee baby doll? ~hugs~
Small dolls came from Dollar General store. No they are not hard to make if you crochet or knit as I told Arlene you can find the patterns by going to Google and typing in Cradle purse/Lillian
wonderful Lillian I am going to give it a look & see if this is something I may be able to understand. ~hugs~
I love this where did you get the pattern. My granddaughter would love it. Turned out great.I'm sure the kids will love them. Arlene
I did not have a pattern, I just winged it, but I made them for my 4 girls when they were little using a pattern I had. Don't know what happened to that pattern but you can find patterns by going to Google and typing in Cradle purse/crochet or knit. You can also find a pattern on youtube. I've just looked and there are lots of patterns out there. I've crocheted all my life so I had a good idea how to do it without the pattern. My old original pattern had the bottom you cut from an oval shaped plastic bottle . You punched holes in it then crocheted around it. My oldest daughter is 61 yrs old and she had the first one so it's been many yrs ago that I first made one. the girls took them to church and played with them, it kept them busy and quiet. /Lillian
Thanks so much. I'llet try and search. I'very crocheted for along time but never saw one like that. Arlene
So sweet Lillian! Reminds me of my mom crocheting for the kids.I sewed/made a doll carrier off of a Cabbage patch pattern and Ashley played with it forever.I just saw it in the closet. It has one of those newborn baby dolls in it.They will be tickled pink to receive this.-Toogie
