YES, I too had to add the seam allowance for the Burda patterns, is there a way that you can get an actual pants to compare measurements with? Good Luck!!
Yes thats exactly what I did compared measurements and reread the instructions again & seams like 5/8 seam allowance is now included in the burda patterns.
No one seems to be answering so here goes. Its a while since I used a Burda pattern. Many years ago one had to add the seam allowance but then they changed it. Carefully read the information on the packet and if you are still unsure phone the shop you bought it from. To my memory the seam allowance is now there and you just cut. What I have always liked about the Burda patterns is they are multi sized and with care by tracing the pattern size of that you are wanting to use onto tissue or other fine paper the pattern will last for ages. So if the pattern lasts to a age 5 you have all the patterns and the master pattern is there for reference. Good luck and have fun
Thank You for answering . I too used burda patterns years ago it does say 5/8 seam allowance is included but it just didn't look like it ,but then I haven't made a size 12mos in awhile. Thanks again.
I would have said exactly the same as caroline (asterixsew). Good luck and do let us see in projects when you have finished.
