I am going to do my best to explain how I did my double fleece lap blanket for those of you who have asked me. First off I start with two different fleece (I did 2 yards of each but you can make this taller or shorter)(you can make it wider if you sew two widths together) I lay the bottom pc face down & then the top pc right side up so wrong sides together. I cut my strips one inch apart & 3 inches high I use a ruler to see this. Then after I have cut about 24 strips I go back & with my stork scissors (very sharp point) I make a hole in the center top of each strip about an 1/8" blurry pic #2 but you can see my finger poking out of the hole, don't be deceived it is not a very big hole but fleece will stretch some. using both of the fleece fold it in half & using scissors carefully (or a crochet hook works well too)poke both bits into the hole & pull them out ion the underside, you can see I am holding the strip on the underside ready to pull through the hole..... Pull gently & making sure it is taut so that it goes all the way through & tug it down. Then keep going till you get to the corners. each corner on mine since I used a 3 inch high cut I use 3 inches to remove a piece from every corner. This is not as complicated as it sounds.... go ahead & make the loops all the way to the end you can see when you go tot start the next side of the blanket that you will need to cut away 3inches from the corner so that the corner strips all line up evenly. I hope that these instructions are understandable if you have any questions I am happy to answer them

Can you believe I work in a fabric store and our best seller is fleece. And the standard cut lenght is 2 yards for adults and 1 yard for babies. I am glad to finally see how it is put together.

I am happy that I can help & these are an easy & wonderful gift to whip up. Easier if you have a big table to work on otherwise I lay them both on the floor & cut & snip away. Hard on the back lol

Neat way to do it...I use 4" square in each corner and just tied a square knot in mine. Your way to tie looks easier! Now I just put wrong sides together sew around leaving a space to turn and then top stitch around the outside...if you ever have to retie one "because little fingers have figured out how to untie." you will find it is easier to just sew and not tie. lol just my 2 cents worth. k

Thanks kmac you can always add a running stitch after you have knotted them all. so even if it did come undone (mine never have & the youngest recipient was 5 & a boy) they would still be secure.

once you pull it through it creates its own knot so yes you are done & then move onto the next one.
