What a lot of work and a beautiful job. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
Fussy cutting was well worth the effort and time. Your project is fantastic!
This is absolutely a adore able design. I would enjoy stitching out on my embroidery machine.
Love the look! did you embroider then fussy cut, so much talent..
I love doing these on the sewing machine. I congratulate your choice of machine stitches, the little stars go so well with the overall design and the joining stitch is the one i always use to join these hexagons. What size hexagon did you use and what did you back it with.
I just cannot get my Phaff machine to use the gold thread so i envy you in being able to use it.
These will make any table look just that bit more spectacular well done
By using a clear plastic template you can get that fussy cut just right and it certainly shows here how it is done to perfection.
If any one wants to know how to do hexagons without hand stitching then message me and i will tell you.
It is very cleverly done as the hexagons(4") are sewn on a big hexagon where the rim is paper pieced on. So white background is part of the big hexagon. I have done this on my Pfaff machine ,but it will only work with Madeira metallic thread and a metallic needle. I have tried it with different makes of thread but found that very irritating as the thread kept breaking.
Gorgeous !!! I love them. Congratulations for this beautiful work.
