I love it that you show your not so happy works. I love the colors and I have not worked on a towel thick so from your experience I made a mental note.

Good atempt on a thick towel. I put a piece of clear stabilizer on top then do the design. It holds the plush of the towel down. Hugs Lynn

I always use an embossed background on plushy towels, but that's easy for me to say, I just digitise a fitting one. Using tulle or netting is an easier option. In this case I'd do what has already been suggested: appliqué over it - although that involves very careful placement if you would keep the beautiful surrounding de design.

Since the embroidery on the band part stitched out better, it appears to me that using a topper on this towel would have fixed your problem. I also use tulle on thick towels and it really does help. That is a great design. Do you remember where it came from.

I'm with Loralye...if you are not happy with the lettering...put an applique over it...as a tip...if you have something very plushy...if you put a piece of fine tulle down the color of your towel... before you embroider, it will hold the nap down and then it tears away very easily...or use an embossed background before your lettering...but now, I would use the applique...
