I love it that you show your not so happy works. I love the colors and I have not worked on a towel thick so from your experience I made a mental note.
Well me to i hope i remember next time ,sometimes thee old head ain't what it used to be lol hugs
Good atempt on a thick towel. I put a piece of clear stabilizer on top then do the design. It holds the plush of the towel down. Hugs Lynn
Sorry about this Carolyn. I would fix it with an applique if it were me/Lillian
Good try anyway, and it's a great colour for dirty hands! Love Chris
I always use an embossed background on plushy towels, but that's easy for me to say, I just digitise a fitting one. Using tulle or netting is an easier option. In this case I'd do what has already been suggested: appliqué over it - although that involves very careful placement if you would keep the beautiful surrounding de design.
Did you use wss on top? Maybe you can save it with applique :)
Since the embroidery on the band part stitched out better, it appears to me that using a topper on this towel would have fixed your problem. I also use tulle on thick towels and it really does help. That is a great design. Do you remember where it came from.
I'm with Loralye...if you are not happy with the lettering...put an applique over it...as a tip...if you have something very plushy...if you put a piece of fine tulle down the color of your towel... before you embroider, it will hold the nap down and then it tears away very easily...or use an embossed background before your lettering...but now, I would use the applique...
oki will do just that .I don't usually buy such thick towels but*****i had to learn a new lesson right???
