Does anyone know if freebie daily designs from embroidery42278.1me@ymail.com is a legitimate thing? I've been away from my computer for several months, having only a few minutes every few days to check my email. I haven't signed up for any freebie emails, but each day, I get a download link from this email address. I've viewed a few, but haven't downloaded any of them. I'm wondering if I was added to a list when I ordered from another site, or if a friend signed me up or ??? something else. I tend to be hesitant of unsolicited emails or "gifts".

I would love to hear your feedback. Thank you.

No one "friends" sign anyone up for anything without asking first. Do not even check the designs out. It's been over a month ago but I believe it was Rescuer that was warning about this type of unsolicited designs being offered and the people are often switching their emails so could be a different email address than she was referring to back then, but it is just not worth it and those who harvest emails and sign people up to be on a mailing list are doing so illegally so it is best to send them to spam or the trash without even viewing them. If those people are willing to sign people up without their request, therefore illegally, you can be sure that they are not following other rules like copyright regulations etc. OK climbing down from my soap box just hope they have not already downloaded something onto your computer. Hopefully Rescuer will have some advice as this is right up her alley and she knows what to do in these cases.

I have friends where I teach ones per week, where there is a lot of sharing. It is at the senior center, and most of my students wouldn't differentiate a garbage site from a legitimate one. They may have thought they were doing me a favor by finding further goodies. I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt. But since this isn't a well known site, I'm going to go with the fact that it is junk mail and not even bother to open them. I'm relatively sure that I don't have a virus, as I run hard core virus protection, and use my smart phone instead of my computer a good share of the time. I'll just delete, add a spam filter, and carry on with life. Thank you.

Deanna, I would move that mess to my spam folder and mark it so that I didn't get anymore in my Inbox. You are right to be hesitant of unsolicited emails.

My computer has been marking them as spam, but leaving them in my inbox. That set off all sorts of bells and whistles. Especially since I haven't even been signing up or downloading for months now (except an occasional CUTE design). I haven't been home to do so. They are going. Thank you.

I just received the same e-mail. I am going to delete it without opening it.

And you didn't sign up for anything either, right? Thank you. I have a long list of them; one each day. Will delete all so I don't accidentally click on them. Thank you.

Hi Deanna...I would steer clear...I Googled it and a legitimate site did not come up...so I would say PASS and don't click on the link in you e-mail..it's not worth it!!!

Hmm, I didn't think to do any kind of search. Thank you, and yes, I will pass. It is definitely not worth the virus that might be lurking on the other side!

I am thinking that I agree with you, and will just let them go in to the spam box. Better safe than sorry. Thank you.

If you don't know the site, nor have signed up...don't do it! Not worth the chance of getting a big bad virus!! I wouldn't even go view anything.

That was my feeling. I just thought that someone I know might have signed me up, thinking that I would enjoy the freebies. I will not open the messages; it is not worth the grief. Thank you.
