Me! Wanted s 200 x 200 hoop for my machine and thought it safer to buy it myself and of course I wrapped it for christmas day. I will still use my surprise face on the day.
No! He's feeling low-budget this year. Wrapped a present and put it under the tree in October (now that's another story, in October) and told me he's through shopping. I keep thinking, it'd better be good, Mr. One Gift and One Gift Only. Somehow, the box is not BIG enough OR SMALL enough!
Ahhhh....but the real trick is to look totally surprised and then gush over what a wonderful present it is!!!!
Yup. Been there, done that. He has also done some on his own - he so wants me to have a surprise under the tree (I generally know every gift for every person). I show him where all the easy wrapping options are (gift bags, prewrapped boxes, etc) so he can wrap it himself too!
I have only done it once, a year when hubby was working on starting up a new chemical plant and was working very long hours and home only to get some sleep then back to work. Even now that we are retired, he still manages to come up with some little things to surprise me. Hugs. Nan W
I do this every year, although we do buy my gift together!!!!
Oh and he also wraps presents much better than i do!!! I would like him to do ALL of the wrapping but for some reason, I don't think that would go over too well with him! lol
My hubby and I have never done that. I mention to my hubby throughout the year that I like this or that and at Christmas (and throughout the rest of the year) I get spoiled rotten! My hubby actually collects all year long....and sometimes forgets where he puts stuff! It was only a couple of months ago when we came across something and he said, oh, that was suppose to be your xmas present! lol Very spoiled and very blessed!
Since I have been single - 3 years now - I buy myself a gift, wrap it beautifully and open it on Christmas Day, THRILLED that I finally got what I wanted! Best presents ever 😉
Well done and you should be thrilled...IT is exactly what you wanted and dreamed of getting, that's the best gift of all.
Hubby and I always choose our own gifts. That what we get what we want. My late brother for years bought a gift and wrapped it up To Neville, From Neville. Nephew was handing the gifts out one year and said ' what's this To Neville From Neville' My sister said that way he was always sure of getting 1 gift. He was our special brother and we do miss him so. Hugs Shirley
I don't wrap my own gift but I DO give a detailed list! Store, aisle, photo, web address, printed page....My husband likes to wrap so all is good!
Sometimes I have to buy it due to size, etc...but I refuse to wrap it!!! Enough is enough! But must admit there have been some strange wrapped presents thru the years!
Not quite, but I do leave items in his EBay watchlist!
As a high school age kid, I actually wrapped some of my own presents from my parents one year. My Mom was swamped - she put my stuff in boxes and I lent her a hand. I didn't think anything of it cause, I liked to wrap. Pretty unusual now that I look back on it!!!
Not quite, but I would take my girls shopping and show them what they should tell their dad to get, right down to the size, color or any other necessary information. That way I didn't get stuff that I neither wanted or needed.
This method is the best way of getting the present you really want
I will admit...i am on my way to go pick up 4 beautiful oil paintings (antiques)...I am wrapping them up and saying they are from my husband....he totally cannot get me a gift unless its something he grabs at the last minute..lol....
For my husband, shopping is just something to conquer - and he used to wait till the last minute. Now after 32 years he now really works at surprising me. I already have a newer smarter cell phone, as an early Christmas present. He does like for me to put some little items in the Amazon shopping cart, that I'm supposed to forget I put there - LOL. I'm working hard to surprise him with something I HOPE he likes, as he won't give me any suggestions...... Have any of you considered the Honeywell mini circular saw for your sweetie?
