I will tell you a little more about our cruise. We went with 12 people, all who knew about my vertigo issue, so I had lots of support and help when I needed it. It was not an easy trip for me. I worked hard to keep my queasies under control and to walk like a normal person. I did need drugs on several days and I always had my earplugs and visor with me to block out too much stimulation. I seldom walked very far without my husband or someone else ready to grab me if I wobbled. And I wobbled and weaved quite a bit. But in spite of it, I do feel it was a good trip. None of us suffered from sea sickness which was a blessing. All of the people moving, the colors of clothing, noises and music were often hard for me, but we just walked slowly and I was OK. The hardest was when I was getting off the tender after leaving Grand Cayman. Boy it's hard to get off of that boat with both it and the ship doing their own dances. They did not dance together at all. Will I do another cruise? Yes, but my husband will do a lot more research to find a cruise that we like. One that has stops where we can walk through history rather than tourist traps where people are trying to sell trinkets. I found that the ship was very stable. My husband who suffers from motion sickness was just fine. He had a great time walking around taking pictures and talking with people. It was a good learning experience for me. I did better than I thought I would. When I had trouble I had the control so I could go back to our cabin and rest. But, gee, I missed my best sister/friend Suzanne and my Cute family. So I challenge everyone to try something new in their lives and with their embroidery. We all might be surprised at what we can do.

I do hope you just smiled and lifted your glass and said,"Cheers", when you were strolling to and fro through the corridors. You are such a good sport. I'm glad you had fun.

Where was the cruise from & to? next year we plan to do a trip down the Rhine & I also suffer from vertigo which I have had for 30 years most of the time I'm fine (on land that stays still) I'm no good in a small boat or swaying bridges. but its a want to do & I have found that very big ships & calm water I just walk like a drunk person.

A trip down the Rhine has one big advantage over a cruise on the ocean: no waves. And lots of lovely towns to visit.

Glad you had a great time and have survived your wobbly events to let us know about the trip. When a friend retired he contacted one of the large cruise companies and was taken on as a tour guide. He was able to choose the cruises that he went on and then did loads of research and led trips when the liner stopped and also gave lectures. He had the added extra to his CV that he was ordained. he and his wife had a wonderful time over a number of years visiting many parts of the world
