My heart is with you. However, that is much less than to fix mine and then no guarantee. Merry Christmas. Could be worse.

Yes things can always be worse.

I think most of that 2 weeks will be the Christmas and New Year break time. I did the same with my machine and it took months for the replacement gear to arrive (without Christmas in the middle) as Husqvarna were have problems at the time. Luckily I was told this by a few people in the know at a craft show that I went to at the time it happened and they all warned me.
HUGS! & hope the warranty will cover the cost of the part for you.

Gosh Lor...bad news! But, you machine is not that old and I would think that this repair would be under warranty...it should not cost you anything...perhaps you should contact Janome...

Sorry that your machine decided to take a "break". I would be lost without mine too. Hopefully the parts needed will arrive quickly and you will be back in stitching order sooner than expected!

So sorry Loralye, my utmost sympathy! I know what it's like not to have your sewing machine working properly. I'm still awaiting my Dongle! Hope you can find other things to do - like what Grace has suggested! Love Chris

Sorry for your unfinished projects. Maybe you could bake something for the gifts you intended. I think I am the only one left that loves fruit cakes. I quit making them 15 yrs ago when the cost of making them became astronomical! Yes, you can buy then but not the same. Kay

Don't forget, Santa is coming and maybe there is a surprise under the tree that you don't know about. It's also to help you step back a bit and regroup for the important things of Christmas. The real reasons for the season. Sorry it's broken.

That's discouraging. There's now time to do all the Christmas baking, clean your house top to bottom, redo the entire sewing room, and plan an exotic summer vacation. OR.... can your dealer/repairman loan or rent you a machine?

pldc by pldc 16 Dec 2014

well he did say that it happened the last time due to a thick bit ? but he was able to repair it but now it has broke completely in the bottom part of the machine so he has to take the bottom all apart to repair it.

pldc by pldc 16 Dec 2014

I am trying to figure if it is under warranty or not? I can't remember where it is so have to wait on hubs
