Just came back from being up in Port Macquarie for a few days. Caught up with Soozie (snowbird42) and had a lovely chat with her and her grand-daughter Georgia and my Mum as well. Port Macquarie is a lovely town about a 3 hour drive away from Newcastle going North. Mum, Trev and I had a lovely break.

Soozie gave me a bottle of her hand-made Beetroot relish and a bunch of flowers for Mum and I. I forgot to take my camera away with me and so took pictures on Mum's camera!
1. Picture of tea towels I made for Soozie. I knew she loved Frangipanis - also my favourite flower!

Beautiful towels, love the design! I saw the frangipani bushes in 1990, in Magnetic Island and they were spectacular. Pity they grow in warm areas only.
Hugs, Lidia

Thanks so much for commenting and Yes, Lidia, they are such stunning bushes/trees. Mum's got a pinkish one in her garden. They take so long to flower though - I don't have any in my garden, mainly small flowers and bushes. Love Chris

Outstanding. Lovely designs & great colour choice.
Port Macquarie would be very nice at this time of the year - bet it is getting busy too.

Yes, it was and is getting busy. Lots of tourists, but there were huge seas due to the storm front. So it was a bit choppy out on the ocean, not many surfers! Love Chris

They certainly do have a wonderful fragrance. Trev and I used to go courting at a local Hotel down in Port Noarlunga when we were teenagers (me 16 and he 18) and the whole Beer Garden was full of them. The aroma as you entered was amazing! Love Chris

Very lovely.I googled these wish I could grow them. I was curious if they were scented and how they grew and where. I should have know by being attracted to the flower I can't grow them, they smell good, and are a beautiful bush. That is a good thing my hubby says I got too many bushes around the place.

Hi Mary, these are my all time favourite flowers, I have them as my FBook page, I have them all over my car and I have Frangipani items. It was so lovely to see another lover of them in Soozie! She has even more than me! Thanks for commenting, love Chris
