You did a great job with this Santa. Nice work! ~Charlotte
I really like your Santa! You did a great job and have conquered the difficult pattern. You are ready to do anything! Merry Christmas.
Where did you find this design?
found this design at sick embroidery, it was done in 5 pieces and on felt, for some strange reason the red thread kept breaking , the other colours were fine , just the red would keep breaking, I am new to this machine embroidery so all my threads are new so I don't think it was the age of the thread.
This is beautiful. I love it! You did and great job. Will have to locate this design so I can do it myself.
Great Job on Santa! You may now find that going back the less complicated designs may no longer be as rewarding as they once were, just slowly increase the difficulty of the projects you do and allow yourself enough time to complete them so you do not become frustrated or overwhelmed. You really did a wonderful job on this project!
thanks appreciate your input, .... I think I will be like the turtle ..." slow and steady wins the race "
Now you know another thing you CAN do. What fun. Pack him away nicely and enjoy him every year!
I clicked on the photo, it enlarges and also gives me right side up. You have done an excellent first project! Superb!..... I also like your oldies CDs or DVDs, whichever the case may be.-Toogie
Very impressive and well done. I agree, you have mastered complicated. Now rest and do something simple.
Well done! You have tackled the beast of breaking thread!
Cindy
Wow! Your Santa looks great. Why go back to simpler as it appears you have mastered the complicated ;) As for the picture being horizontal, well, Santa is just taking a nap, resting up for all the deliveries he will need to make in a few days! Merry Christmas!
Trish what size hoop did you use with this Santa? Love Chris
P.S. By the way, great job on the Santa.
Hi Chris , I used m 150 X 120 hoop, he was embroidered in 5 pieces then glued together.
Thanks for your comment, Merry Christmas From Scone NSW
You did a great job, he looks very jolly! Merry Christmas!
He looks great. A lot of pictures are coming out sideways lately, but if you click on the picture to look at it more closely, it is miraculously the right way up!
ok, that is strange, as it is up the right way on my computer, while I was stitching this the red cotton kept breaking, it was the only colour that kept breaking, I don't think my machine likes that colour.
thanks for your comment
Maybe try lowering the speed, when it gets to the red thread, to keep from breaking. I have never used cotton emb thread, didn't know there was any.
The sideways pictures are from iPhone's, iPad's, and other Apple products. The software that comes with the Apple product will show the picture upright on your computer -- but upload it sideways here. So, unless you click on the picture the picture will appear sideways or even upside-down.
yes mine is polyester, maybe I will lower the speed for that colour and see what happens. Thanks rescuer I was taking the photos with my mobile phone then posting, that is prob why , I will do it next time with my proper camera and see , Thanks for advice
