This could make you cry. Why do these things happen when you really don't need these problems.
Oh No what a blow...so sorry. Hope you manage to sort it out !!
Thanks Debbie, I did make another one & the client was really pleased with it even though it was red & not blue. ~hugs~
What a nuisance. I'm sure we've all had something similar happen. Yes, thank goodness for a stash!
Is there extra fabric at the bottom you can cut off and fix the strap?
Oh gosh! That is so disappointing to have happen. I've done that a couple of times. You'd think that once I'd done that I wouldn't do it a second time. But I have. I think we get in a hurry. I usually try to fix it, but in the end always just do it ov
we try to do everything for everybody but we have to learn to stop lol I haven't learned that yet
Boy don't you hate that! If I had $1.00 for every time I did that I could go to the fabric store and spend the day! He he. It's one of those things that you know in your head there is no tearing it out but, why not try it'[s already ruined. Now when I have anything that has extra fabric hanging anywhere I use the bulldog clips from the office supply store to hold everything where it needs to be. I am sorry that you had that happen though. Glad you could have a do over. (That's what my kids call it. Moma you have another do over) Have a blessed day
that is a very good idea Thanks I may take the time after the holidays to try to salvage it we'll see. ~hugs~
So glad you were able to get a new apron done. Try to put that frustration behind you. We all make mistakes and hopefully learn from them so we do not repeat those errors. Hopefully you have the time to finish up any loose ends on any other projects and can now enjoy the holidays with your loved ones.
Pam
Sorry for your mishap, it has happened to us all sometime or another. I sure hope you will be able to get another apron and finish on time. Have a Merry Christmas and everything will be fine.
Thank you Juanita, I did & I was able to do it right. Live & learn I guess. ~hugs~
Oh I'm so sorry this happened to you. I have done this too, I know how you feel. Hope all goes well. Relax and take a deep breath, have a Merry Christmas. xx
Really cute! Hope you were able to find another and redo! If we didn't make mistakes, we wouldn't learn to be careful...ha...believe me, I have had my share!!! Have a Merry Christmas!!!
thanks so much It somehow feels better to know that I am not the only one who has messed up like this. ~hugs~
I did that on a toque, sewed both sides togather. Never checked it before I started to sew, I do now. Couldn't do anything but throw it out and start over.
oh that is such a shame & those naughty mischief bunnies were @ it again with you too! I have learned now too so I guess that is something...............
That really stinks. I know what you mean, I did that to a sweatshirt I was making. Better luck next time. Hope you have enough time to do it. Arlene
So sorry that happens. I don't do anything like that for other people either. I have problems enough trying to keep the nests out from under. Can you maybe use a wide grosgrain ribbon for the strap? Good luck.
Oh, Lor...so sorry..anyway you can just cut the strap around the embroidery on the back, fuse some soft knit cover over the back and perhaps cut a new strap from the bottom and re-hem the apron?
now there's a good idea. but I have already done a new one but maybe I can pick it out over time or sew an applique over it so as not to loose the whole apron?
Oh dear!!!!!!!!!!!! This is why I do not embroidery for other people besides family. I have said this before......too much stress for me. I am sure you will find a solution. Merry Christmas. Hugs Marg
oh, I'm sorry this happened, you must be so disappointed. Here's a hug for you ))))
That has happened to me I have ripped the stitches out. It was tedious but saved the project. I feel for you. Have a Merry Christmas!
Oh, man, Loralye, it always happens on a customers thing....I feel for you!
The design looks terrific!
