I love these bowl holders and have been meaning to make some for a long time. Those of u that have made these, what kind of batting do u use? Do u have to be careful about what kind to use for fear of catching fire in the microwave???

Shisha, If you make these, (there are tutorials on the internet) make sure everything is 100% cotton. That includes the fabric, the batting and even the thread so they will be safe in the Microwave. I have made and given many of these and none have ever been a problem. When shopping for the materials be sure to read the content labels.

299559Apologies for not posting earlier. Thank you so very much to my SS, I just love the gift that you have created for me. I have received a four sided bag. I have photographed each side of the bag as each side is decorated with sayings and cats. (I love cats and Asterix is a dear past member of the family) The bag has been beautifully lined with a yellow cotton fabric and a drawstring too. This is a very precious gift and again thanks to my SS and to Sue for arranging this great swap

26010I'm not having much luck loading the SS photos.I love the beautiful colour fabric in the apron.It has a photo stitched bearded iris embroidered on it & a dettachable flower too.A lot of effort went into making this lovely present.
I hung it on the clothes line folded in half to get the best possible photo of the fabric & embroidery design.
Second photo is a close up of the iris- a bit too close though ,missed some of it.

76409I am so delighted with my padded and quilted tablerunner and I do have apple trees in my garden as well. Beautifully wrapped as well with lovely fabric ribbon that even matched the wrapping paper perfectly -no wonder my SS was concerned in case I left it in the Express Post envelope! I'll be sure to find another use for that ribbon. Meanwhile I think I'll enjoy a 3rd cup of coffee (good thing it's decaf!), while I view this lovely gift some more. In my original post I forgot to say that my wallet is pink, so now my wallet and checkbook are perfectly coordinated.
