I have tweaked the design for the Fiddle Purse and Yoriko has generously agreed to offer it as a free design on her site. I hope lots of you will be able to use it for dementia sufferers around the world.

Thanks to you and Yoriko for this free design. I am just starting the process at my church and with another church member's quilt guild to make Alzheimer's activity mats and aprons for the women (and men) in the two nursing homes here in town. My sister and several church members are in these two nursing homes, as well as so many others. This will be so helpful!

I've never made an in-the-hoop project before, so this is going to be a first. Hopefully I can get a few minutes to stitch it out while my husband naps. He was diagnosed in his mid 40s with Alzheimer's, and each day presents a new set of challenges. I may tack it to his lap blanket, so he doesn't lose it. Thank you for creating this, and offering it up. Both you and Yoriko are very kind!!

This may be a bit advanced for your first ITH project. I would advise you to try something more straightforward first. PM me if you need any help. I've used shoelaces as part of the embellishment on this one which I thought could be tied to a blanket or clothing.

Nice idea, although too big as my largest hoop is 7in x12 in. May be able to adapt others I have for this purpose as I know a few people who would like these.

I'll give some thought to this size, but I wouldn't be able to test it.
