Give yourself a little treat and don't use your pocket calendar. You
probably will not be able to spare the time to write down the expenses
for your embroidery because you need more time to buy and to look for
nice designs .... the new ones are always "better" than those from
yesterday. Hugs and Happy New Year 2015 - Maria
YIKES...that is a scary thought...If I did that, my Hubby might find the list...and that might be even scarier!!!
i did an Excel spreadsheet from when I bought my first embroidery machine in 1992 till 01-01-2002 when we changed from guilders to euros. I must admit it kept me on the straight and narrow. Since then I bought more than I'll ever need and the software upgrades for the Husqvarna software cost more than a nice second hand car. I kept the receipts of all major expenses, but won't add them up. It would be too scary! I hope I'll be alive and sewing well past my 100th birthday and am sure there might still be some thread and fabric left for my grands.
My former profession is bookkeeper and I keep track of all my expenses in a accounting software. Everything is itemized since 2002, but here comes the funny thing. I refuse to look at the totals in all my craft categories. Smart hm?
I agree with writing down the designs from each site but I don't want to shock myself with the total expenditure..
It always catches up with me when I review my entire year's checkbook at tax planning time. Whew!
