Excellent! I am planning on making some like yours, Is that ITH? I ask because they look larger than most.
No I have a template of the top. The Calico I have at the moment I can mark out 6 across so I double up and mark out 12. One for front and another for the back. Then I embroider 6 for the front. Cut them out and then join the back to front and sew onto the towel.
Wowwwww Lyn these are beautiful. Hugs Marg
Thanks Marg. When I buy designs My mind usually thinks - Will they look good on a towel. Others I just buy because I like them.
Everything is fabulous, love the different owls. Love Chris
I have so many owls. My Mother In Law started me on to collecting Owls. Then I decided I have too many other things I have collected so now just collect Owl patterns (not all) and that way I can see them and sell them to be able to buy more.
You have done a very good job on all of these. Some of the designs look like Nicolesmodular, or whatever the name is. Did you make your own sewing pattern for the top/hanger part? It looks like muslin. Are those small owls buttons or embroidery? I also like the necklaces or chokers you have made on the table. Good luck with your sales!
Toogie in Australia the fabric you call Muslin is called Calico. Just different names. Love Chris
Thank You. As Chris has said the top is Calico. I have made a template and yes there is one with an Owl button. I had to go back and have a better look. I no longer have any of these towels left. I buy a bolt of Calico when on special at Spotlight or a Gift Voucher.
In the States, Calico is a cotton, small print. It was used, I believe like in the prairie dresses of long ago.
Lovely owls but have you noticed the quality of the calico has deteriorated over the years. While tiding up a wardrobe I found some calico which looked liked sheeting but the stuff I'm using now to make cushion inserts is so thin
Oh, they're beautiful. I understand they are selling well sold. Good luck.
Wish I had counted how many I have sold. When I first started making these another stall holder said I would never sell them. I guess over the years I have sold 200 odd.
hi very lovely towels.they always come in handi.such a great job. congrats.
Have had people buy them and say they will never use them as they are too nice to get dirty.
Love them, hope you sell lots.
This lot has gone but next weekend I have another Market so if I remember I will take another photo of my towels
Booth looks lovely. You must be very successful with such great work!
I can see why your towels are such good sellers. You have done a great job on them. Hopes for continued success for you all of the lovely items you make and offer at the sales.
Thank You. I have many towels that my Mother made with Crocheted tops. I am not crazy about these so made the template for the top so I can do some embroidery on them.
Owl says: A kitchen towel is a very good place to be!
Thanks for sharing. The towels are really great!
A good 2015 for you - Maria
I love your towels. Not surprised that they are great sellers. Keep up the good work. Hugs
