Very clever sayings! I may need to "borrow" some of these. Love them!
Awesome!!! Great gift choices ( Aussie gifts by any chance LOL)
Hahaha - no, US gifts..... but, I do happen to have a most wonderful Aussie daughter-in-law that I think the world of!! Hugs, Laura*
Great job! It has been a while since I have stitched the can and bottle ones. A really good tip for me to offer is keep a soda can and a bottle water in sewing room to try for fit. My first try was a 1/4 inch seam and discovered it a bit to tight.Mind you some water bottles are a slight different. Any way I did not like ripping them out. Kay
That is a great tip, Kay!! I ran downstairs to the kitchen, once I finished one koozie to try it out - I was worried about the fit - but, was very lucky that it fit just fine. Thanks!! Laura*
Awesome job! I've never thought of this-I had no idea they sold unsewn Koozies!
Thank you!! I am so happy that they do - makes a great gift. Hugs, Laura*
well done, they are all terrific. where ever did you order that assortment of foam? ~hugs~
I have had them for awhile - let me look into it and I will post where I ordered them from. Thank you!! Hugs, Laura*
I believe I ordered the neoprene koozie material from
https://www.blankkoozies.com/
There are lots of sites that sell them.
They Beautiful..Think all the machines did overtime!!Mine is also playing up!!!
Sonja - how right you are!! Seems like everyone was having a time with their embroidery machines!! Thanks, Laura*
These are always a staple at any Aussie barbecue! Well done, they all look fabulous. Love Chris
Thanks Chris! They were a fun project - trying to find humorous sayings! Hugs, Laura*
They look so professional! Great job!. How difficult was it to sew on this type of fabric? Tips and hints would be most welcomed ;-) I would like to embroider some for my husband with motorcycle logos. Do you think something like that would be too dense?
I used a couple of layers of tear away on the back of these and tried water soluable stabilizer on the top - but, really didn't notice a difference when I didn't use the WSS. The stitches do sink in regardless. My thoughts are, you would do best by avoiding dense designs. These stitched up very quickly - I made sure to double sew each side. My "guys" loved having their names stitched on. Don't hesitate to ask me questions - I'll help in any way I can!! Good luck! Thanks, Laura*
How nice of you to offer help! Thank you for advising me to stay clear of dense designs. It is so heartbreaking to ruin materials! If I understand, double sewing each side is a great idea. You really did an awesome job! Thanks so much for commenting and should I have a problem...I know now the expert to contact! Thank you Laura!
Great job on these. I know these will be used.
I am always on a quest to find designs and projects for men. Besides my sweet DH, I have 4 kind brothers, 3 handsome sons, a super father-in-law and a wonderful son-in-law. My beautiful daughter and brilliant 2 year old Granddaughter are easy to stitch for - the guys, not so much!!!! Everyone of the "guys" loved this gift! Thanks and hugs, Laura*
These are great..........very handy to have around as gifts for any occasion......
Nicely done...I am sure these will get a LOT of use!!
Hahaha ... I actually saw my son-in-law use his at his house the other day. Thanks!! Laura*
Great work, which material have you used?
I ordered the koozies - which were flat - I just embroidered on them and machine stitched up the sides. It was an easy project and nice to be able to stitch a "guy's" gift! Thanks, Laura*
