Frustrating to have your machine break down again. Ignore the saying and just keep stitching and enjoy knowing that you can stil use a magnifying glass if necessary.
Have it fixed. Keeping fingers crossed. I need to have a needle threader. LOL
I have replaced myself on 2 of my Brother machines--one replacement part cost about $6, the other for an older machine cost me over $20. But still cheaper than someone else to do it!
No wonder your screen name is awesome! The problem with mine is a little spring that somehow gets snagged by thread (I think) and then jams the feed dog area causing the needle to get stuck and break. Both times the same thing happened. I am impressed that you were able to replace yours but I think that I will remain friends with the magnifier :-)
Lucky you to be able to replace them yourself. He only charged $25. I think that was reasonable. Well it was worth for me anyway. Hugs
I had my needle threader repaired twice within a year. I finally gave up on it and use a humongous magnifier (yep, I am getting old) to thread the needle. I believe needle threaders are designed to break :-)
I have had it fixed today. Hope it keeps working. He tells me the pad to the up-down button is wearing out. I guess that will be the next thing to get fixed. These beasts of machines are not cheap to keep LOL
Well my Mother believed that and a few more saying ,like dropping your fork, spilling the salt just to name a few Is this 3 now??hugs
