Just read the article in the link below. How sad for these poor little babies. What a thoughtful project to share with friends. You are truly angels.
Great Job!! IT is always great to help animals that need it. Suzanne
Excellent job, Lyn and friends. What fun you'd have had doing that with amicable friends as well.
There is a site for the mittens pattern, should anyone else want to do some. Reading on the IFAW site, they now have lots of koala mittens but could use pouches for possums, wallabies and kangaroos.
Thank You for listing this extra piece of information. It seems as though the response has been so great that they need other things now. Oh well I will still send the Groups mittens.
Saw that on TV. I would imagine the more they get the better as they may be thrown away if they can't be sterilised after each use.
Did they supply you with a pattern?
You did well 50 as well as chatting and eating.
In between Talking, Laughing and Eating we achieved sewing 50 pair of mittens for the Koalas
I just saw a story on this last night. I am so happy you are doing this important project.
Poor things. I'm glad you are willing to help and to have fun too.
Sounds like a fun day with friends and a very noble thing for you all to do.Bless all of you-Toogie
Sweet time spent with friends making mittens for Koalas. What a perfect Saturday (or any day)!
Very cool! What fabric will you use for them? Hugs. Nan W
That is Awesome!! Always is great hanging with friends! And service to others just multiplies the fun!
I think they are going to get many more than they need. It was on all the New Services but never ming they can keep them in storage.
