I had actually thought about something like that but I was worried about the safety also. Those poor little kids with their heads drooping! There has got to be a better way!
I can see an accident in - waiting, a child size neckroll/pillow would be much safer alternative and very easy to make. Not an item on my to do list
Hmmmm? Just my opinion... Not sure I could ever recommend the use of one of these nor would I ever make one to give away or sell. Feels like litigation in waiting.
You are not the first to have that opinion and I wonder how many the site has sold. It was to show you, how simple a product could be made, and how expensive for those that don't sew. I, personally, am not making any to sell or give, just to let you know. I am not endorsing the product, just showing what is out there, on the net. Have a great day-Toogie
Thanks everyone for playing. It has been fun reading the guesses. I think you can find just about anything on the net. You can also find, people that don't sew or embroider, will pay unheard of prices for simple things, and gripe about the cost of more labor intense projects. Go figure. Like I said its been fun-Toogie
Great idea...nice job! I would like to do some for my niece...don't have a car seat handy...can you give us the dimensions and what is the length of your elastic? I can almost count from the cutting mat...but... Thankis for sharing, Toogie...
What a great idea. Yes of course with an adult supervising. You again have done a fantastic job sewing an article.
Yes, I agree only responsible adults should use this on their children's seats. Thank you for looking at my project.
Sounds like a good idea but would only use it if an adult was sitting beside the child. Accidents happen so fast.
That is why I, along with the cozydozee site, added a caution to use only with a sleeping child and always under supervision.
Cor Toogie what a great idea, I have just shown this picture to my older daughter who now says she needs one for her eldest. So when time permits I will have a go. Thanks for a interesting question and answer

Toogie, after you have made one could you please post a photo so we can see how this actually works. Hugs Marg
This is the one I made for my granddaughter. I am sure it will be used this week-end, as they are taking a week-end trip, and I know she will nap at some point. Maybe someone can snap a shot/photo but look at this site and they have a video you can watch.
my daughter has them for my grands , works pretty good
I have yet to make my other g-daughters, so hopefully before the week is out, I will be able to get to it. Glad to know they like them.
Something to do with rain and a dog. Whatever it is , you did a great job making it and I love the fabric.
I think it wraps around your dog and then when it starts to rain you pull out a rain coat for your dog. $20.....When are you going to tell us what this is????mmmmmmmmmm
Back brace for sitting at your sewing machine? $25.00
I think it is a belt to secure a child on his chair, for about 15$
My guess would be some kind of coolant pack that that can be frozen
(or i guess warmed).....hmmm...18" across not counting the strap...is it some kind of fanny pack...cost..well depends on whats inside....about 2+ hours labor -material $29.95...
It's raining! It must be a glasses keep dry cover! You put it round your head sticking out so the rain won't get on your glasses. We all know how irritating it is when you can't see because your glasses are rain splattered. Unique! So it would set you back quite a bit!
Sounds like you are having as much fun as me with this question. That is irritating,as you say, but look at my edit at top.
i think its for helping an injured dog to walk after a back operation. and if so would sell for about $50.00
it could also be a wigwam for a wangdoodle or even a wooden glass lamp holder to hang in trees to allow the wangdoodles to see in the night when they go potty
very rare item and so would cost about $1000 retail or $5.00 to make from a free pattern.
If I could sell it for a $1000, I wouldn't care what you called it, or what you used it for-LOL-lol- Look at edit in top post
I think it is to carry plastic bags around your waist. To clean up after your pet while walking them. Anything to do with pets or babies the price goes up. So I say $25.
True and likewise, women's items are priced higher than a mans, such as sneakers...edit in top post
It's great, maybe a sling of some kind - $10-15!!! Love Chris
You've got me stumped, although I do like Leaha's suggestion.. Well is she right.. hints please
Playing off the material I think it is a waist pouch to carry doggie duty bags while walking your favorite pets a few times each day- price $10 though I think that would be too high in my opinion., umm looking again I don't see a zippered pouch that I thought I saw on my first look so maybe it is a waist support belt for when you are lifting that precious pet when they are needing jumping help. Yeah I have no idea! Hints please!
Pets had nothing to do with it, grand daughter chose the leftover fabric...edit in top post
very difficult to guess. The size (about 19" plus straps) makes me think it is a money or passport belt, but the fabric tells it is for a child. Price no idea.
Am thinking the same as Leaha , A thingamegig :)) $ priceless
It's a rectangular looking thingy made out of super cute fabric with an elastic strap! :P It looks like a band you could wrap Miss Avery's rain poncho up an keep it all neatly tuck. $ 10.00 (As you can tell I have no idea...but it's fun to play!!)
It's fun to read the guesses too. Look in top post at edit. Thanks for playing!
