when you embroider a design like a turtle on a bib that is to small for your hoop what kind of stabilizer should I use ? I know that I need to baste the bib first but not sure about the stabilizer since I normally stitch on homemade bibs then cut it out.

I just always hoop tear-away and temporary adhesive spray to hold in place and I still put a couple of pins in because I'm so compulsive. :)

You might try Sheer magic from Jenny Haskins . it is a fusible sheer support. It can be used to cover the stitches to protect sensitive skin also. You could also make a patch then attach it. Good luck.

I was going to use wss fibrous stabilizer but I realize that it will wash away & then there will be nothing to keep it stabilized? Tear away or leave in?

Maybe a tear away with a little 505 on it. They make several weights of it.

Love the viliene sticky back for projects like these. If you peel the sticky back and attach it to the inner frame as demonstrated by Sonia Showalter in her tutorials you will have a great stitch out. As long as the digitizing is well done.

sorry same as below & if there is another way I would rather try that. I find it gets hard to pull off & this is just a less expensive bib so might distort the shape of it when I pull it off

but thank you just the same
