One design, but two versions. These are ITH mugrugs, made using the strip and flip technique. The one on the left has a satin stitch edge and the one on the right has a lining. Usually, I am not too keen on satin stitch edges, but in this case, it means the item can be quilted through all the layers which makes a flatter result. The lined version is quicker though, and probably more resilient!

Thanks to a Cute friend for encouraging me with this idea. The design is available for 160mm x 260mm hoop at her request.

Satin stitch edge looks more finished. A great way to use up all the bits and pieces of material we just cannot throw away!

What an unique twist on a mug rug! I like how you place the fabric in different directions. The satin stitch really frames it perfectly and ties all the colors together. Nicely done!

It looks like the SS edge lies down better, so I vote for it. Like the fabrics.

They are the last few jelly roll strips left over from my kitchen wall hanging quilt. (The left overs seem to go on forever!)
