One of my favorite things to create are baby hats. They are so easy to make & only use a charm sized design, which I embroidery first then I make the hat by creating a tube & stitching the sides together flipping right side out I iron the crease so I know where the fold line will be then sew the inside marked with a saucer to create the round top & then sew up the middle with a scant seam to create the perfect round head lol then flip it again so the design is right side up & voila

Cute - Thanks for the easy instructions. Have 2 daughters who are pregnant now (only 3 weeks difference between them!). This will be something I can do for them.

Would you please provide a link to the pattern you use, if available? I have two babies due in my family and once I've recovered from surgery have to get busy! You all have been my lifeline this year.

I use a made up in my head idea for these. basically I start with about 10.5"square (jersey or knit) fold in half to make a tube lengthwise & then the same fold in half width wise. The widthwise fold line I fold in half again to mark the center of the hat once it is completed & this is where I stitch the embroidery design . I use my iron (follow fabric settings) to mark all my lines so I have a clear placement mark for my embroidery design

remember to sew your embroidery design upside down on that placement line so when you turn right side out it will be in the right spot
