Knitty, check out the used, gently loved, and new machines under the Brother brand at www.kenssewing.com. I am a pleased customer with them, and they are a very reputable company located in Alabama. My first embroidery machine was a Brother PC8500D, which I still have, it stitches great, after many years later and no maintenance that an occasional "dusting" by me. Raves for the Brother brand. Another place to check is where I purchased my used fifteen needle Happy machine is www.digitsmith.com. Keep a lookout on both sites, and you will find a bargain!!
Hugs, Angel

Angel thank u so much. My neice lives in Alabama. Do they have a store or just a website?

Knitty, they have been in business for many years, and have both store and website. I have only ordered online, but had speedy service. Off hand, I cannot think of the name of the town, but you can see it on the website! Maybe your niece is near there!

I would go to your dealer and see what is on offer from exchanged machines as there are many bargains about from traded in hardly used machines. Have fun choosing and then happy sewing

I have a 4x4 Brother 190D, not much help. I'd go to the Brother site - see link - and have a look at their machines. Then visit a dealer, preferably a local one, and see what they offer.

I have a Brother Innovis 1500D It comes with a small 1x2 , 4x4, 7x5 and 6x10. 7 years ago cost me $2999 AUD on special $1000 off, with 5 year warranty. Hope this helps. Hugs Marg

Hi, I have Brother innovis 4000 too, It takes lots of different size hoops, and I love it.

Would suggest to you that you might like to do some online, looking on the brother website, go to a dealer, and maybe get someone to show you how they work and possible choices. Then you could buy where you get the best deal, or second hand.

Machines are computerised and need maintenance, mine came from a dealer and goes back if I break it. :( , but they always are very helpful and there are a lot of smaller embroidery machines, including 700 which cost less and an entry level machine.

Best of luck and hope you get one it will open up a whole world of possibilities.

This is the name that this particular machine is called here in Australia also I have no idea how much it will cost you in the US. Brother Inovis 4500 takes a 6x10 hoop.

Hope I have been of some help.
