Looks very beautiful loved the fabric choice
Great job Hugs Stella
Beautiful fabric choice...lovely bag. I love making bags too. Hugs..Shyam.
I LOVE you bags! That said, I may have some info on the In-R-Form. First, watch this: <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r...> I just bought 3 packages and you all are correct-it is expensive! BUT I have some ideas for it :-) It comes in sew-in, fusible one side or fusible both sides. It is also supposed to be water proof (Hmm, great for those cosmetic bags!) I also like that it hold its shape. Anyway, watch the video above and decide for yourselves; you all had very good points and I might have taken your advise had I seen this post a few days ago LOL I will try and post again after using it.
thank you very much, I look forward to seeing your creations & again thanks for the link ~hugs~
They look fabulous. I'm interested to read the answers to your questions as well.
I love your 2 Designer Bags! Stunning! I have bought some headliner
that is foam that I used to make koozies. Would this work? I have seen
that Nancy Zieman uses it in bags and totes. I bought a remnant at half
off price at Joann's. Can't use coupons on remants. olds/Maureen
I have no idea I think you would have to ask an expert, I have not seen this new product but am hoping too. Thank you very much, ~hugs~
I've seen some articles where people used the headliner foam for purses - I know I have a big piece I picked up at Hancock's once on sale. Going to try it eventually.
Great bags, but I have not come across the product,
Hugs Pam.
Great question! I've wondered the same thing myself. I think we have an answer! But no matter, I think your bag is BEAUTIFUL. And when the newness of this foam product wears off, we'll probably all go back to the tried and true methods that we've been using for years, simply due to cost. After all, why change when you have achieved perfection?? Yours is there!! :)
this new product is yet to hit the sunny shores of South Australia [at least where i live!] Sometimes a new product will be over-priced, until most have it. Love your bag and the purse.
Beautiful bag and change purse! Love the style and the fabric.
That's just it, It's the latest thing, Everybody wants to try the new stuff. If you can't find it use what works for you. Your bag is very nice.
I love your bag. My question is what's the cost difference??? So far I ha e not encountered any of this foam/lillian
from what I can see on line it is more expensive then the fusible........I can buy the fusible batting from JoAnn's with 50% off coupon so a much better deal & you can get more because you can purchase it by the yard where the other so far as I can see is only 38" by 58" ranges from $22 -$30 PLUS Shipping Canadian. thank you Lillian, it's is much appreciated. ~hugs~
Your bags are gorgeous...I think the main difference between the two is that the In R Foam is just that...it is a foam product that will stand alone yet still can be sewn through....when I think of it, I think more like "puffy foam" than interfacing...I believe it adds a more "rigid" structure to the bag than an interfacing...but the bottom line is....what do you want for the finished bag...and yours are beautiful!
I used this on my bag I posted yesterday and I think that the properties that make it stand alone is the difference between this and other battings/ stabilisers etc. It's a gorgeous bag Loralye, very professional looking, well done. Love Chris
Thank you Chris, very much. Mine is standing alone as well? So I am missing something here. I may have to buy some & find out if I can visibly see a difference. ~hugs~
