I've been playing with ITH quilt blocks with more of my left over jelly roll strips (which seem to be going on forever!)

I always have outline designs ready on my memory stick so one became a potholder and the other a pincushion.
I believe the potholder is called courthouse steps, but I don't know if the other one has a name.

I rather like the courthouse steps block, it seems to have a lot of potential. Who knows I may even do enough blocks for a quilt!

I'm glad your leftover jelly roll is still going strong. I'm enjoying all the uses you are coming up with to use it up. I love these ideas. Well done

These both turned out beautifully as does all your work. I am thinking about doing a sports themed quilt for my son's 50th Birthday this year and found the second block in my search. It was called "Economy Quilt Block"

I believe your second block is called square with in a square. Nice use of the blocks.

They are both very pretty.
How many pincushions do you have in your gift drawer. Yesterday I counted 17 in mine - time to start doing something else, like potholders, of which I have only 8.
