Australia has been represented a few times, don't think we have ever won.
I remember seeing perhaps one of the first when Sandy Shaw (sp?) won in her bare feet. Was it 'Puppet on a string?'
Australia in Austria.
From an Aussie here in Sydney... Will send you LOTS of Sunshine to cheer you all up :)
"What is the world coming to?" Apparently, Austria. :)
It sounds like fun and a great opportunity for the Australian and European Cuties to get together.
Not really, unless you want to spend a lot of money on tickets and travel to get to the event. it's more of a switch on the telly and enjoy(?) kind of happening. And if there are package deals there would not be a lot of spare time to meet.
we get a blow by blow account of the Eurovision on our SBS television channel. Bit hard to stick it out actually! No offence meant to Europe of course, some is really good/
That's to cheer up an otherwise too 'normal' jubilee year, I guess.
Had to check the date! It's definitely NOT 1st April, But I had a laugh anyway.
It is true! It may only be a one-off, but it is to celebrate the 60th birthday of the competition.
I didn't disbelieve you! Sorry if it sounded that way. Good to know the reason why, thanks for the info. 60 years and it's still going, that's some achievement in this time, so many things are being "dumped" in the name of progress. Will I be watching? Probably not, but I trust those that do will thoroughly enjoy the music.
Oh really !?!?!? Yay and good on us but we are not exactly a part of Europe ! LOL . Some of us live close to parts that snow so some may know a little about thermals. :D
