Personally I think it should only be signed in members who have access to profiles, by the same token, I wouldn't put anything in profile that I did not want anyone to know. I don't mind, state, type job, age , things like that but no home address or private email address or phone# *4U
I agree to a certain extent but then Big Brother is always watching and anyone, anywhere, can find out about anyone else if they know how to search. Still, any personal information you display online should be kept to the barest minimum and it is wise to use a nickname. I keep two internet (Yahoo) email addresses that i use for my online (visible) profiles, so the spammers can spam to their heart's content because even though it annoys me they're not filling up my private email inbox and it makes it more difficult to track than if you make your private email visible. hugs n roses, M
Unfortunately, almost anything that is put on the 'Net is going to be accessable to *someone*, so don't put up anything that you don't want people to know. In my dreams, there will one day be an "intention" screening program that will keep out anyone who has impure intentions, but I know that in the real world, that will never happen. =[ Or at least not until Jesus comes back for us. =S
You are right about that, we all need to be careful with our info. And, it will be nice when the Lord comes back! Have a nice day! :)

I agree. I think that people should have to sign in for others to see our profiles but that would not stop someone with the 'wrong intentions' from creating an account in order to go 'phishing' for info. That's why including a full name, exact location or your email addy in any profile is a bad idea. We may have thousands of wonderful members but all it takes is one 'nut' to spoil it all. It can happen... I made the mistake a long time ago and learned my lesson all too well.
I thought about that too. Even in the Yahoo groups, some of which have a little more requierments to become members, you sometimes find that a bad apple has sneaked in.
I haven't had any problems with mine and I've been here a while but maybe it should require signing into the group before viewing. Good idea and thanks for asking. *4u for that one.
I think it should be only ones that are signed into the group that can view. You can't download without being signed in. Have a great day.........*4U and everybody.
I agree. If it is not too difficult to add that to the website. Hopefully, it would deter someone.
I understand what you are talking about having to log in to view profiles, I removed mine for I had a email listed and then I started getting fake emails subject cute, so I just removed all.
I haven't added anything to mine either but I do feel I ought to put something in it now that I've been posting regularily and feel part of the family. But it is up to the individual to decide what they would want to put in their profile. Though it would be a shame if it went the way of some groups that you can only be a member if you fill in a detailed profile. However that does deter the spammers. I haven't had any probs being part of this site and feel comfortable with it's openness. Jo
You can choose to type something at your profile, it's up to you. So if you don't want special things to becone public then don't write it down, it's up to the person her/himself was is written and can be read by others.so if you want some privacy: just keep it somple. have a fine day yourself and aanyone else too.*4u
few mistakes I saw: it should be: become public and mistake nr2: somple should be simple :)
oh boy, mistake nr.3 aanyone should be : anyone, so sorry for the mistakes ...
Well, in that case, I should self correct mine. I thought I have reread it before posting it, but... I omitted a word. It should read: Maybe one should have to sign into the group to .... :)
At this time, I don't believe they are private. You may want to contact the site and ask Veronika about it.
