I used to have an ellagante Now I have the Elissimo Gold. I used L NEB bobbins from All stitch,, Never had any issues,
Doris, I have an Ellegante(Baby Lock ) I use YLI or Finishing Touch bobbin thread with no problems. I have tried some other brands but always go back to these 2 because I have a lot less problems with them/Lillian
I use Metro pre-wounds (plastic sided) and bobbins I wind myself in both of my Brothers (Brother makes Baby Locks) with no issue. Be sure you have the right size bobbin (and the bobbin pin if needed) and that you thread it correctly and you should be just fine not using "special" bobbin thread.
When I used my ellegante (upgraded n the meantime) I used Metros prewound as well with no problem. I think rescuer has the right idea. Make sure you are using the correct bobbin race, and the correct bobbin
I have an Ellegante that I use as a back up machine since I bought an Elissimo. I always used Neb bobbins and bobbins I wound with matching thread, I never had a problem with either one. I have always used Madiera thread. Check with your dealer to see ig there is a problem with the bobbin casing. They do wear out and need to be replaced. I do hope you figure out what is going on.
where do you buy your madiera bobbin thread? maybe i will try it, but want the best deal , thank you Doris
BabyLock would love you to use only their Finishing Touch Bobbin thread...but it is very expensive..I have a BabyLock Ellisimo that takes a Class 15A bobbin...I get the pre-wound ones from Metro and they work like a dream...I also use the Metro 5000m polyester thread and it works great, too.
Make sure you are using the correct bobbin race.
I know my dealer says only Finishing Touch. If you are using pre-wounds make sure they are the right size and that you use the special metal insert if needed.
I had been told by dealer, only Finishing touch. Been using it for 5 years, no problems. A lot of the ladies in class, say it's the only one that works.
They have always told me I need Finishing touch bobbin thread and every once in awhile I have a problem and wind a bobbin with it. Otherwise I use Neb prewounds. They have so much more thread on them.
