Glasses case.

I digitised a few butterfly glasses cases for Chris two years ago with a satin stitch outline and changed it now to a stitched outline. it's lined with no visible seams. That means you have to turn it somewhere and stitch that opening closed by hand. I did that at the bottom, but think it would be easier to hand stitch on the top, so I changed that and decreased the size of the appliqué a bit as it comes so close to the edges.Turning is a bit fiddly.
The colours are a bit off.

Love this design as well, Martine, but I prefer the previous version as the satin stitch outline is more elegant, in my view (love the black ones I have embroidered). Also, I don't like sewing by hand.... lol

I loved your black ones as well, the designs you used on them all looked so vibrant. And with the satin stitch outline you can add some stiff interlining, which you can't when you need to turn them,

You can find it here with the satin stitch edge -- I think:

Leuk om te horen! eerlijk gezegd werkt het gemakkelijker met de zigzagsteek buitenkant.

Nice and a great revamp of an older design...I do like the more finished look of turned items rather than the satin stitch finish!

I do too, but the turning is a bit more fiddly than using a satin stitch.

Very nice, with lining a glasses-case is more safe, love the butterfly.

Thank you. The older ones were lined as well, but had a satin stitch edge instead of being turned.

Lovely - I left my gap at the bottom and it was very fiddly to turn. I was thinking of trying it in the side on my next one.

The bottom as well as the sides have 4 layers (plus the batting I used) so I think the top might be easier, but - there's always a but - it might show a bit more if your ladder stitches aren't perfect.
