Keep in mind that some of the greatest chefs wear hats while cooking ;-) Congratulations on baking yummy cookies! Such a delicious way to spend your day.
Congrats, Loralye......every obstacle we overcome is a huge step....the cookies look so yummy!
I fully understand. I suffer from Arnold Chiari and everyday things can be very difficult. I am so happy for you to be able to overcome and make some awesome cookies.
Having to struggle with your balance & co-ordination every day certainly is a challenge I feel for you. Welcome to our cute family Dakota we are happy to have you here with us. ~hugs Loralye~
Every step you take that you haven't been able to take is a milestone. congratulations on your accomplishment. I know Hubs is happy/Lillian
this is true Thanks Lillian, he is still sleeping as he came home from work in the wee hours but I will be sure to let him know. with a very big grin too!~hugs~
Well done. you have accomplished a massive task for your self then.
wonder what will be in the oven next . you know what, may be you could use some of the stuff we put in oven gloves. that deflects the heat and make a cooking hat. dont know if it would but you never know.
Hugs Pam.
mmm that is another good idea but I am thinking maybe wearing a chef's hat would be just the ticket? I will have to look up a pattern & see if I can find one online. It would cover my head & look much better then me wearing a toque in the kitchen lol ~hugs~
Congratulations, that's great progress if that's what you want to do. Me, I've been looking for an excuse to NOT use the oven (and the vacuum). lol
There are some great no-bake cookie recipes on the web for when you are alone and need a sugar fix.
now there's another really good idea, thanks I will try to remember that one. You know that is an EXCELLENT idea I can feel like I am contributing much more by "baking" without running the risk.Thank you so much for this wonderful idea! ~hugs~
I'm so proud of you! Your hubby is going to be so pleased with these cookies. What a special day for the two of you. Be careful of that brain. It has been through enough trauma
indeed Karen it has, but this was a really good try...I have tried before & I couldn't even get anything PUT IN the oven so this is a vast improvement for me. I am really pleased that I could get this made. ~hugs~
You may want to have an electrician check out the oven for good measure. Sounds like you are magnetic field sensitive. Best that you found a fix for the situation. No one can go long without cookies!
it is a brand new oven Christine so unfortunately it is all me. but this is really good progress!~hugs~
Your peanut cookies look delicious. Great idea wearing the hat
Fantastic way to cope with your problem - & maybe start a new fashion for kitchen hats, too! The cookies look great - you should feel very pleased with your achievement.
lol now that is food for thought. A kitchen hat with an embroidered design on it of course. ~hugs~
Way to go! Glad you were able to figure out a way toget around the problem.
Ingenious to figure a way around the problem, make hubby wait with you while they cook the smell will make him want them even more.. Hats on to you..
Loralye they look very yummy, would not last long in my house. I am pleased for you that you have worked out how to use your oven without too much discomfort. Is it an electrical oven or a microwave, just interested to know. Hugs Marg
You're one smart cookie to figure that out! Glad he got something yummy in the process.
Congrats on baking the cookies....they look yummy! Way to go!!!
thank you Joyce I am really pleased but realize that next time I should make sure someone is home before I try again just in case. I am really happy about it though........means I am making progress! YEH ~hugs~
