It could be that the top tension isn't set correctly. On the back side of the embroidery you should see 1/3 bobbin thread and 2/3 embroidery thread.
I too have an Ellegante Gold and I use NEB bobbins from Allstitch and have never had a problem. I used them on the enterprise 10 needle too.
Allstitch is great for supplies and fast delivery great customer service too. I buy several boxes at a time and I never run out .Welcome to cute also.. You will find a lot of great advice here. Suzanne
I don't know about finishing touch bobbins, but I have tried about 3 different brands of pre wound bobbins and I do love them. I think they are a bit finer than regular bobbin thread. Look at the two side by side with a magnifying glass and you can see. You can use the plastic ones over again as spare bobbins but not the paper sided one as i tried it on and wasted perfectly good bobbin thread when the top side blew off when I was winding it. Kay
Hi Doris, I have a Babylock Ellageo and I started on the Finishing Touch. I switched over to the YLI lingerie thread which was cheaper and worked great. Then I started using the prewound bobbins and rewinding them on my babylock bobbins. No problems when I wind them.
I have had an Ellegante for years. I used Finishing Touch thread for a brief time. I have used Neb bobbins for years that I order from Allstitch and never have had an issue. If I want to match threads, I wind my own, and use with no issues. The prewound bobbins also carry more thread than self wind bobbins. I did get a lot of bobbins from one of the Finishing Touch spools though. I do hope you get the help you need.
