There is a place in Penrith called Sewing Machine Warehouse, Unit 2/1 Dean Place, Penrith (02) 4721 3332 - Mon-Frid 9.00 - 5.00pm and Saturday 9.30 - 1.00pm. This place isn't as cheap as the ones that Monika and Pauline have recommended and as they live down there I'd go with the ones they've recommended

Hobbysew my Creative Home at Pennant Hills is also great. They also have stores in Kings Park, Top Ryde city and Hornsby. I see "babash" has commented on it too.

I have ordered online from patchwork and crafts at Pennant hills they have a shop. You can catch a train there going by the map on their page.

I buy all my embroidery supplies from Happy Embroidery. Love his threads ... 3000mtr for $5 .. Be aware that you cannot just go to the shop as he is seldom open, More on line sales unless you contact him first to see when he is open. I order by phone and pick up from his home .

I bought white bobbin fill last year from him & have had no problems with it.He told me that you can get on the light rail & get off at Lilyfield & walk down Catherine St to Moore St.
Still haven't got there yet ,waiting till it gets a bit cooler.I want to match up some other brands colours hence the trip
