I love their fonts, the Barbie font is one of my go too fonts.
The BX files are only for use if you have Embrilliance software.
Just use the stitch file format your machine needs such as pes, or vip, etc..
Fonts available in BX format come with PDF instructions from Embrilliance on how to install and use BX files as well as a link to free software from Embrilliance in one download Zip File. I had bought some pes fonts, and the ones that Jolson's added the BX to, I got to go dl. You don't get all the "bells and whistles" that come with Embrilliance, but get enough of a program to use them. (Not that I have sewn any out yet :( , but I plan to ) So easy to just drag and drop the font file to the open software page and have the font installed and ready.
I have a few Jolsons tiny fonts and I love them. I don't use BX though.
I love Jolsons fonts and have many of them including BX files which I use. I enjoy the BX files as all the spacing , arching is done for you. Well worth a try.
I've only purchased one, but was extremely pleased with the stitchouts. They mentioned that the font I bought should not be resized because of the nature of the stitches, so I purchased the large and jumbo sizes to get what I needed, but they were on sale for $1.00!! Several sizes in each file. Couldn't go wrong.
I love all of my tiny Jolsens fonts (best place I have found for little ones). However, I don't use BX.
Jolson does good work AND they have a fantastic sale going on right now.
I don't buy the BX, but I buy a lot of the Jolson Fonts and have excellent results with them. The fonts come with several different sizes (ie, 2" 3" 31/2" 4") included so check to see if the font you want has the 1/2" size or not.
I use Jolsons BX files and have had good results with them. I get them when they are on sale because they have some excellent sales.
