I don't know enough about Embird but I am sure most digitising programmes have auto digitise. BUT as I have said before auto digitising often produces inferior work. I am not in the States but $25 for something customised in ME sounds cheap to me.

$25 is a reasonable price. Auto digitising is not something you want and manually doing it takes hours even when you are an accomplished digitiser. I always forget the time when doing (and enjoying) it and my husband has to remind me it's lunchtime or whatever. Only occasionally I time myself and am amazed at how long it takes.
Logos are notoriously difficult especially when they have small lettering.

Spendlove and Mops have given the answer you need as they are the most experienced digitisers about on Cute. Spendlove sells her designs to another www and they sell well. People would not keep buying her design if they were not quality. Anyway welcome to Cute. Machine embroidery (ME) is an addictive hobby and not a cheap one. When we start ME we tend to download every free design going regardless, then as our ME careers continue we seem to save very few freebies and carefully buy a few quality designs from sites we personally like. Keep an eye out for sales at your favourite sites and buy then. One can tell when an auto digitised design has been bought as they are not up to the quality of a manually digitised designs. Anyway welcome to Cute and look forwards to seeing more from you

In Embird you can semi-auto digitise by using the "magic wand" for specific areas. You find it in the left hand border, just above the measuring tool. You can choose between fill, outline, column by clicking on the tiny triangle in the icon. It works rather well for simple shapes and you can adjust just as easily as when you set the nodes yourself. It gives far better results then auto-digitising, but the shape has to be rather simple. see the comparison I made some years ago.

Sue(spendlove) has answered you.The designs you see here on cute are excellent and we have knowledgable digitizers that can help you if you are a member. Try some of Cute's free designs I promise you will like them. Thank you for visiting us. I have Embird and have had it with all the up dates now since 2006. Are you having specific things digitized or are you simply purchasing designs that are already digitized? are you new to machine embroidery? T

My cp has been acting up lately and doing things it shouldn't. .To continue you can join Cute for free and get some free designs but a paid membership gives you all the designs on the site. Gives us a whirl, you won't be disappointed/Lillian

Autodigitised designs can never take the place of good, well digitised designs.

I think the programs are all ridiculously expensive. It is more economical to buy digitized designs. I see there are lots on this site and am thinking of joining so I can get all of these machine embroidery designs. I don't know how good they are digitzed. Somewhat skeptical.
I mostly use Anita Goodesign. All of the designs stitch out beautifully but they are costly.
