I had some bits of the brocade left from my bag, so I made an ITH zipped purse to go with it. Luckily there was one piece of fabric big enough to make the purse back. It is fully lined with no raw edges or visible stitching.
Those of you who are observant will have noticed that I remade the top of the bag. I interfaced the top of the lining to make a neater and more stable edge so that I could trap the handles between the layers.

The lovely blue one was the only one in a reasonable sized piece. The rest were quite narrow strips.

62461Yes, I noticed Sue. I was wondering why you had put the handles on the outside of the fabric instead of tucking them in between the outer and inner fabric. These look like new handles too, the fabric looks different to the one in your previous post. The little purse addition is gorgeous and sets it off really nicely. Love Chris

The handles are the same. The lighting plays havoc with the colours. Without the extra interfacing, the lining was too floppy to trap the handles.
