More doll's clothes

Remnants of my children's clothes are not always the right choice for doll's outfits. The striped jersey looked to bold for the shirt. So I added a raw-edged appliqué 6 on the front to liven it up a bit.

They certainly do, those and dressing-up clothes. First she was into pirates, then princesses, then Frozen and Indians. Disney has a lot to account for! :)

These are beautifully done Martine. Nice and vibrant and such a good way to use up older garments. Your grand-daughter will love them. Love Chris

Thanks Chris. I used scraps leftover from dressmaking some had been in a box for 40 years. Wanted to throw away all those scraps but decided to sew something instead. I managed to throw some tiny bits away :) but could still dress a multitude of dolls :) I really need to declutted.

I think they are so cute. Are they made in the hoop?

no, just the old fashioned way, with a lockmachine/serger.

That way the seams are nice and tidy and I think it is even faster. The white one has snaps on the back, the sporty one 3 tiny pieces of velcro.

Very nicely done. I love the appliqued number as you have it. If this is for doll with dress and these on coming outfits. This doll is fashion ready for any event.

Yes, same doll. Need some more modern outfits, what she has is the mid-70s things I made for her mother when she was her age.

They are cute and a great way to use scraps from their parents' clothes.

I decided to throw out all those old scraps and then thought I could use some - this way I'll never see the end of it!

Dank je. Dat werk viel mee, zijnaden als laatste sluiten dan gaat alles vlot onder de lockmachine door.
