Dear little bear. Wilfred is certainly a name I have not heard of in years.
What's in a name? "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet"
Love the little bear :)
Had an uncle who was Wilfred Alexander and he was a peach of a guy. But he took a made-up nickname!
The bear is so cute! sounds like you are doing great things there! Wishing you the best!
nice thought, giving a little bear. I wonder if the child will be 'Wil' or 'Spike'? or perhaps 'Frank' either way you will get used to it and he will become a little Wil,Spike or Frank.
Lovely teddy for a lucky little boy. My paternal grandfather went through life with the initials WC. The grandparents add a L to it for my father. (I am sure if we Cuties work hard for your daughter we could come up with something dodgy with Wilfred's initials)
Wonderful idea! So cute :) Is it an ITH project? (and if it is, do you sell it?)
Darling, Sue........I agree with the initials, gets a little iffy sometimes with all the 2 and 3 letter inuendos........
. A excellent Teddy, as it is a very sweet keepsake.
The trend is older names on both sides of pond.
I smiled at your comment of daughter remark. I tend to smile at some of old names that makes some the now generations sound like car names.
Such a great design as it's so easy to hold and cuddle. He looks wonderful. No wonder the ladies at your Janome club love all the things you do and make - everything is so well done. Love Chris
Aww - Wilfred is one lucky little baby! He and his parents will love your bear too. Thank you for showing, Sue - Maria
Your bear is adorable Sue! I have noticed lately that people naming babies are going back to the traditional ones, I much prefer them too. I have heard some strange ones over the years & Wilfred is NOT one of them. A good solid name. Incidentally our oldest initials are TLC lol a happy accident. ~hugs~
That's a nice keepsake!
My eldest brother (all 3 are younger than I am, so what do you call him?) has the initials W.C. - not the luckiest choice. Number 2 has A.F. - that does not sound bad, but in Dutch A - F- Af was often used to count down, like ready-steady-go in English.
We did not do much better by using MC before the last initial P for my daughter - she was teased quite a bit when we were living in England. .
